An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
